Russian Warships Dock in Venezuela After Conducting Drills Near US | Firstpost America

Two Russian warships, including a logistics ship and a frigate, have docked in Venezuela after conducting military drills in the Atlantic Ocean. This comes weeks after four Russian vessels arrived on a fiveday visit to Cuba. The Venezuelan Army has welcomed the Russian Navy, adding that their visit highlights Moscow's support to the South American country. The visit also comes at a time when Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is eyeing a third term in office. The presidential election in Venezuela will take place on July 28. Maduro has also restarted talks with the US and Washington has urged him to conduct a fair election.
