Hello and welcome to our channel!

In this episode, I will reinstall our kitchen sink in our RV. I was in the camper one afternoon and when I walked into the kitchen area, I just happened to notice that our sink had fallen out….that’s right…our sink had FALLEN OUT!

After a double take and a few, “what the @#*!~@?!,” I took a breath and started trying to figure out why in the world….scratch that HOW in the world could the sink have fallen out!

Our RV is less than a year old!!!

Well after getting the sink unhooked and out of the way, it didn’t take long to find the problem! My first thought was the glue that they used wasn’t strong enough, but it wasn’t just the glue that had failed, it was also the bracket placement. There are four support boards glued under the counter top; one on each side of the sink. Each one of these boards has a bracket screwed into it that holds the sink in place. All ‘sounds’ as it should be.

Here’s where someone messed up:

The support brackets were screwed into each board, but near the end of the board instead of the middle.

Ok….so, say you glued a board somewhere and then you realized that you put it in the wrong place…..you’re going to have to use a pry bar to unstick this board! Where would you put your pry bar?…..On the end right?! You wouldn’t start in the middle because you have more leverage at the end of the board. Turns out so did the sink! Lol!

When I glued the sink back In, I used Gorilla Glue (the two part epoxy) and relocated the support brackets to the center of each board to give it added support.

I’m pretty sure I could take a bath in the sink now! Lol!

I don’t believe we’ll have any more problems with the sink anytime soon!
…..as long as we don’t have to take it out. I’m pretty sure that it’s a permanent fixture now!
