Climbing through the openwheel modified ranks, Ryan Preece worked his way into a fulltime ride in the NASCAR Cup Series.

With a busy Cup Series schedule demanding his focus, Preece climbed out of the seat of a modified for the majority of the 2023 season. He returned to his roots for the final race of the Whelen Modified Tour season at Martinsville Speedway.

With the help of the No. 41 crew, Preece captured his first victory at Martinsville, winning the 200lap feature and taking home the grandfather clock.
