The excitement was high when we left Strand for our trip this time. We had not been on a gravel road for quite some time and we couldn’t wait to make some dust again! We were on our way to De Aar and we knew it was an important railway junction in South Africa. Unfortunately, like in so many other towns, the station was not fullyoperational anymore. We were very happy to see that Excelsior Park, the old railway building and club, was still being used.
