This house was built about 1865 , (possibly before 1865 but with the civil war going on at the time the records are muddled)
It is especially a cool house because log buildings surviving from the 19th century are uncommon and because stone and frame houses were more common in this area during the mid 19th century. Which makes this house even more sad considering it is falling apart and may soon be if not already in a state of disrepair. I really liked the neat layout and design of this house with the multiple windy staircases! It's truly a shame that this 150+ year old house is rotting away!
