SAFE RX Setup on Spekrum DX6 DX9 DX18 Transmitters-(Step-by-Step)

Follow
Jim Lafferty

Here is a stepby step video with voice detailing how to setup your Sprektrum DX6, DX9, and DX18 transmitter for a SAFE receiver. These directions cover setup for both the Eflite SAFE Rx found in the Eflite Apprentice S, as well as the SAFE programmed AR636 Receivers which are found in the HobbyZone Corsair S, and ParkZone Sukhoi SU29MM RC planes. This will also be the proper setup for the new Eflite UMX Habu S EDF Jet.

Remember that you must bench test all control surface directions. You must also check your stick directions. If your stick directions are wrong after you have verified that your safe directions are correct, you can use your servo reversing screen in your transmitter to fix. Reversing servo directions in your transmitter only affects stick corrections, and will have no effect on safe corrections. If a safe correction is wrong you must either physically flip the servo so that it is moving in the right direction, or use a servo reversing lead between the servo and the receiver. I have videos on my channel that show how to test your safe direction corrections.
