Hi & Welcome to East Coast Sailing, Come and join my biggest sailing adventure as I travel 600NM around the UK to get the Channel Islands. This video covers part 3 of the sailing adventure. I had planned to travel from Eastbourne to Bembridge on the Isle of Wight however strong 30 knot winds swept in causing big waves which lead to my decision to bail into Brighton. It was a great call as the conditions and seas state worsened. This leg only covers 20NM but 4 hours in these conditions was more than enough. I made some silly mistakes leaving a mooring line over the guide rails hat could have lead to the loss of the boat if it got wrapped on the propeller due to fatigue having sailed for 3 days consecutively. I sailed past the beautiful iconic Beachy Head Lighthouse which has gained notoriety in the press for attracting unwanted attention, it's the 3rd most popular place to commit suicide with 20 people jumping each year. This place only holds good memories of my family. I also sail past Newhaven, Peacehaven until reaching Brighton.
