We leave the beautiful Galician north coast with our new crew, Nicole and Diego, and start our much awaited Biscay Crossing.
The Biscay is legendary, so of course we are excited and a bit tense. We want to avoid the tricky currents and tides of the French Bretagne coast so Christian has planned to cross the Biscay and the English Channel in one go. As novices this might be too ambitious, and along the way we do run into problems too..
Sailing a Moody 47 from Madeira to the island of Bornholm in Denmark. Christian is doing the trip alone with help from friends and acquaintances along the way. (La Paloma is a 15 ton Moody 47, cutter rigged center cockpit masthead sloop, shoal draft, built in 2002)
