Saints Row 4 is a big departure for a series about gangsters and guns. It's also an insult to classic Saints Row fans everywhere (Saints Row 4 Review)

Saints Row 4 introduces a superhero scifi premise to a franchise firmly rooted in the urban sandbox genre. And while there is some shortlived fun, reused assetts, padding, and bland game mechanics ruin the game the further we go. At best Saints Row 4 is an experiment with average results. At worst it's an insult to fans of Saints Row everywhere.

Throughout this Saints Row 4 review I'll explain why I think Saints Row 4 is a disaster, by examining how Volition cut corners and reused content we'd already paid for and didn't add enough new features to make Saints Row 4 worth it. These ideas could have worked as a shorter piece of DLC or as a spinoff title, but it's it's current state, Saints Row 4 is a disaster.
