I wanted my inaugural flight in my new PMDG B777300ER to be truly special. After purchasing the aircraft, I deliberately waited a few days before taking to the skies for the first time. That momentous flight occurred on July 4, 2024, coinciding with what would have been my late father’s 77th birthday. Departing from San Francisco—my late mother’s birthplace—to New York, my father’s birthplace, added a deeply personal layer to the experience. To further honor his memory, I chose United Airlines flight number 1847, as his birth year was 1947.
Prior to the flight, I dedicated time to prepare meticulously, absorbing knowledge from over 16 tutorial videos by a realworld airline pilot (A330 Driver) on YouTube.
In my flight videos, I aim to craft a narrative. The journey begins in San Francisco as I meticulously set up the aircraft, witness the loading of cargo and passengers, and taxi to runway 28L. Throughout the flight, I integrated live air traffic and weather into the simulation for added realism.
San Francisco International Airport is rendered in stunning detail with the Flightbeam Studios Captains Edition addon, offering a truetolife depiction. Similarly, Newark Liberty International Airport, enhanced by Drzewiecki Design addon, features remarkable details such as functional escalators, elevators, and baggage carousels—an immersive experience for any flight simulator enthusiast.
