Sankalpa Art Village is at Pedagadi village, which is 23 km of Vepagunta junction of Pendurthi mandal in Vizag. It is run by a passionate family of 3 members Chalapathi Rao garu and Parvathi garu and their daughter Ms. Jameeelya who is the creative head of this art place. It is run under the mentorship of Sudhakar Reddy garu retired HOD of fine arts department of Andhra University and Satyavathi garu. The work force whom I met here were very enthusiastic.

The Art Village is in 2 locations, one is with nursery and display of products from the art village and the other is the actual art village which is around 2 km from the first location.

Anil and I(P. Venkata Rama Reddy) felt this place has a great potential and it is going to play a great role in the art scene of the city in the coming years. Though the aesthetics of the place are different from the art villages in Chennai, Delhi, Gurgoan and other places, it has a charm of its own. Their concept of sustainability and zero waste policy along with their objective of rural empowerment is commendable.
