São João da Madeira é uma cidade do distrito de Aveiro.
É sede do mais pequeno município português. O município é limitado a norte e a oeste pelo município de Santa Maria da Feira, e a este e sul por Oliveira de Azeméis.
Tornouse município em 1926, e passou a cidade em 1984.
É reconhecida no país como a "Capital do Calçado".

São João da Madeira is a city of Aveiro district. It is the seat of the smallest Portuguese municipality.The municipality is bordered to the north and west by the municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, and the east and south by Oliveira de Azeméis.
It became a municipality in 1926, and passed the city in 1984.
It is recognized in the country as the "Capital of Shoes".
