This is a Roco model of the De 4/4 motorised baggage car of 1920's vintage which was often used on local passenger trains in Switzerland until the 1970's. The prototype loco was slow and underpowered, and the model is too.

I like it for its nononsense simplicity of form, pure functionality. But it would not win any beauty contest for trains.

This model is not fitted with a sound decoder. I am coming to the conclusion that the sound of electric locomotives is more realistic if you just listen to the model. But I still like sound decoders for steam and diesel.
