Conor Woodman discovers the paradox that is Mexico City. From the moment he takes a taxi from the airport he is on a mission to find out about the kidnapping scam of the city’s taxis. He goes to the beautiful pyramids of Teotihuacan where he is offered 2,000yearold artifacts. As he is out looking for pickpockets he meets Tirantes, who tells him of an area in the city called Tepito where there is a shrine to death and where he might meet kidnappers. Soon Conor descends into a world of petty crime, and criminals and taxi drivers who have killed, kidnapped and extorted their way through Mexico City’s beautiful avenues.
