New Schengen Visa Rules implemented FEB. 2, 2020

1.Higher Visa Fees for Every Applicant
Applicants that used to pay €60 per application will now need to pay €80. before it around 3500 .. now you need to pay more or less than 4,500

children aged 6 to 12 will that had to pay €35 will now need to pay €40
children age 06 STILL FREE

Plus visa fee or SERVICE FEE the price will depend to the embassy where your planning to apply

Please check the visa prices in the emassy website to make sure of how much money you need to bring to your appoitment.

2. Extended Application Submission Periods
Applicant may apply for a visa 6 months in advance (180 days) for regular Schengen visa and 9 months in advance (270 days) for Seafarer – Transit visa prior the intended date of travel. However, visa processing normally still takes 15 calendar days to process.


3.Application form can now be signed and submitted electronically
This means that applicants will also be able to sign the applications electronically, which signature should then be recognized by the competent Member State.


4. More Benefits for Frequent Travelers with a Positive Visa History
Good news for Frequent travelers to the Schengen Area with a Positive Visa History! Chance of granted a multiple entry visa valid for 5 years, given that have a positive visa history, which means they meet the following conditions:

*Good Travel history
*They have a good economic situation in the country of origin.
*They have a genuine intention to leave the Schengen Area before the expiry of the visa for which they have applied.

5. Additional Embassy or Visa application Center Representative authorities of every Schengen Member must be present in every thirdcountry in terms of visa admission after February 2nd.
*The new code obliges all Schengen Member states to be present in every third country, through their embassy/consulate, another Member States, or by outsourcing Schengen visa admission to an external service provider.

so expect na madadagdagan ang mga Embassy or Visa application sa Pilipinas and other 3rd word country

ex: POLAND EMBASSY Effective 01 April 2020, the Polish Embassy will start the visa operations in Manila. Hence, the Netherlands Embassy in Manila will no longer accept visa application for Poland starting from 01 April 2020 (only Latvia remains).
