সভাপতির শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা এসএসসি, প্রস্তাব নাকচ শিক্ষামন্ত্রীর | School Managing Committee Act BD
শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের গভর্নিং বডি বা ম্যানেজিং কমিটির সভাপতির নূন্যতম শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা এসএসসি পাসের প্রস্তাব নাকচ করে দিয়েছেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী ডা. দীপু মনি। বুধবার (১০ আগস্ট) সংসদ ভবনে অনুষ্ঠিত শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় কমিটির বৈঠকে বিষয়টি নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়।

বৈঠক সূত্রে জানা গেছে, কমিটির সভাপতিসহ বেশিরভাগ সদস্যই বেসরকারি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের গভর্নিং বডির সভাপতির মিনিমাম যোগ্যতা এসএসসি পাস রাখার প্রস্তাব করেন। তবে শিক্ষা মন্ত্রী তা নাকচ করে দেন। তিনি যুক্তি দিয়ে বলেন, আমরা যারা আইনপ্রণেতা তাদের অনেকেই আছেন যাদের শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতার বালাই নেই। তাহলে শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের সভাপতি হতে শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতার প্রয়োজন পড়বে কেন? অনেকে আছেন পঞ্চম শ্রেণিও পাস না কিন্তু খুবই যোগ্য এবং ভালো মানুষ। শিক্ষিত হলেই সবকিছু হয়ে যাবে বিষয়টি তা নয়।

Most of the members including the chairman of the committee suggested that the minimum qualification of the president of the governing body of the private educational institution should be SSC pass. But the Education Minister rejected it. He argued that there are many of us legislators who lack educational qualifications. Why would educational qualifications be required to be the president of an educational institution? There are many who have not even passed the fifth standard but are very qualified and good people. It is not the case that everything will be done only if you are educated.
