Sciatica RELIEF home Exercises and Stretches for Low Back and Leg PAIN Part 2 | Dr. Matthew Posa | Milton Chiropractor

In this video (Part 2), Dr. Matthew Posa, a chiropractor in Milton, Ontario will go through 2 addition steps including one low back corrective stretch and one of the most effective low back stabilizing exercise to help decrease and stabilize low back pain and sciatica. There are many reasons for sciatica and some of them are quite serious such as herniated disc, stenosis, degeneration, or injury such as fracture.

Stretches:
1. Towel Lower Back Lordosis Extension and Compression
Roll a towel to 3 Inches in Diameter. Place under low back and lay on it for 5 mins daily.

2. Dead Bug Spinal Stability Exercise
Laying on your back.
Stage 1: Arms
Reach one arm over head making sure to tighten your core and ensure your lower ribs do not move. Repeat with opposite arm 10x. Finally, both arms 10 X.
Stage 2: Legs
Lift one leg at a time, making sure not to allow your pelvis to rock. Do this 3 sets of 10 repetitions.
Stage 3: Complete
Laying on back, bend your legs to 90 degrees and extend arms out in front. Extend one arm over head at the same time lowering the opposite leg. Bring them back to the starting position and repeat with the opposite arm and leg. Do this in three sets with 10 repetitions.
Make sure to contract your core at all times and breathe throughout the movement.
