This visit to see the Italian chapel was on my list of things to see and had been for many years.
Now I got the chance to see for myself, instead of via a documentary.
Of how Italian prisoners of war built this chapel with bare hands, some tools, bits of materials and scavenged bits of bully beef tins from their rations.
In a sense it was quite humbling to see the work first hand and how faith can move men.
I was not disappointed.
