Diving in Crystal Bay, off Nusa Penida in Bali in September 2019 we swam head on into a 5m Great White Shark. Great whites have never before been seen in Indonesia as they are cold water species so it was a strange phenomenon. As a student studying Environmental Management this was an incredible experience, but it does lead us all to wonder what the hell is a Great White doing in Indonesian waters? As our oceans warm, evidence is showing that fundamental ocean currents are being altered so perhaps this video is just the start of misplaced creatures being found in strange territories. Who knows. Or maybe it's always been there and we just got super lucky
