Today I was able to test the TS1 from Sculpfun, the TouchScreen Upgrade for laser engraver.

I had this little piece here for a day or so and thought to share a short video about it's functionality.

I have to say I really like the nice and simple UI. It's functional and if you're using the laser without a PC in a remote location or for repetitive works, this is really a game changer for me. I have a laser who's engraving plates with the same text over and over again. Starting from SD card is so much more convenient then.

If you use the relative coordinates (current position as start point) everything works flawlessly. Engraving works and positioning is very good and precise. When using absolute coordinates, it's a bit different. Positioning is sometimes off a bit and most of the time it's related to the wrong zero positioning in between jobs...
Will update Sculpfun about this issue and hope for an update.
The device I got is from the very first batch and so it might be fixed in the later devices already.

I did not yet test the WiFi functionality.
