Part One:

For part one, using your 1911 firearm and following the guidance you received in this week's lecture, you will:

Perform a "dry" function check
Perform a function check with dummy ammunition
Detail for your instructor what you would be looking for when performing a live fire function check.
Part Two:

You will assess the "feel" of your trigger, paying close attention to its smoothness of operation and difficulty of pull and articulate for your instructor whether you view the feel as good or bad. Defend your position. We will learn more about these concepts in the coming lessons.

Part Three:

Following the guidance you received in this week's lecture, you will measure the barrel length on your 1911 firearm.

Part Four:

Following the guidance you received in this week's lecture, you will measure the barrel twist rate on your 1911 firearm.

Part Five:

Following the guidance you received in this week's lecture, you will test the headspace on your 1911 firearm.
