Dada la edición y la próxima publicación del Libro colectivo ¿Se cumplió la promesa del gobierno abierto? editado por RamírezAlujas y CruzRubio (2024), se pretende dar continuidad de una obra previa y pionera en la región, intenta responder a si se ha cumplido (o no) la promesa del gobierno abierto en Iberoamérica (Hofmann, RamírezAlujas y Bojórquez, 2013). En su momento, se ofreció una visión panorámica y diversa sobre el, hasta entonces, escaso debate conceptual y casi inexistente experiencia práctica sobre gobierno abierto en la región
Con este evento, pretendemos acercar la temática, adelantar algunos trazos del proyecto editorial e invitar a los autores/as de este esfuerzo colectivo a poner sobre la mesa algunos hallazgos de investigaciones sobre esta cuestión clave y con ello, orientar un debate constructivo para definir y articular agendas de apertura más robustas, basadas en evidencia y orientadas a fortalecer las democracias, el estado de derecho, mejorar la efectividad de las políticas públicas y promover la integridad en la región
