I recently bought a used Lodge 10" camp dutch oven when traveling through Arkansas. This oven appeared to be never used but still was a bit rusty on the outside. I cleaning it up by hand using some scotch bright abrasives then do a reseason on it, also with a new Lodge 14" camp dutch oven. Even when I buy new cast iron I still like to give the iron one good coating with seasoning.
