I like to use easy viewing TV and movies to educate patients about how their brains work int he context of managing their anxiety, sometimes called "Neuroscienceinformed" treatment strategies. Neuroscience is a complex field and finding metaphors to see how treatments can be effective can be really useful. In this video, I use a running joke in the TV series "Big Bang Theory" where Penny and Sheldon interact to illustrate how to push bag against some toxic and maladaptive "self talk".
