In todays video Hayden goes over the basics of how to wire a zone in either series or parallel, and when to do which option. Depending on your contact type and the alarm system you are using you will have either Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO) circuits, and both types require a certain type of wiring. Most of the info will be redundant for those familiar with electrical circuits and wiring in general, but it never hurts to go back over the basics. For those that are new to DIY alarm systems, or just looking to understand how your current system works, hopefully this video can give some insight into how alarm systems "watch" or supervise zones.
