Walking tour of Sernancelhe, a charming little town in northern Portugal, where most houses are made of granite. Sernancelhe is one of Portugal's oldest towns, and in the past it had considerable social and political influence in the region. Sernancelhe is a good base from which to explore the surrounding Beira Alta region, one of the most scenic parts of northern Portugal.
