The road N526 that joins S.Lourenço from Montaria to Dem, is a path filled with the most beautiful landscapes and Minho architecture. A flight over the Regueiro da Lapa Valley shows extensive areas of this mountain range that only hikers see. From the air you can see paths, water lines, waterfalls, which would otherwise be difficult, and which the maps do not signal. Here, the Âncora river and other streams of importance in the region's ecosystem are born. In taking advantage of these watercourses, the mills and watermills were built next to the winding bed of streams and rapids.
