She PADDLES She Paints | Inchcolm Island To Ourselves | Painting A Fuchsia in Watercolour | Ep36

She Walks She Paints

Hello & welcome along on this walk! If you're new here my name is Sarah and each week I head out on a walk with my faithful companion Jack Spaniels, to explore somewhere in this beautiful country of Scotland and hopefully find something to paint back in my studio at home.

This week we are doing something a bit different, as we go kayaking across to an island in the Firth of Forth where the river meets the sea. Because of its strategic position at the mouth of the River Forth and close by to the city of Edinburgh, this island has a long and fascinating history from the Romans, through to the First and Second World Wars.

There are also some unusual residents on the rocks surrounding the island...

I have wanted to paint a fuchsia blossom for a long time, as they are my favourite flowers. Today was my chance, so watch until the end of the video to see how I got on with this piece.

If you enjoyed this video and you haven't already, please do hit subscribe and check out my other videos including the three special Skye episodes, where we explore some incredible Scottish scenery. Join me again next week as we explore somewhere else in Scotland and look for painting inspiration...
