The Short Action 284 Winchester is near and dear to my heart. It is a fantastic caliber, and so are the many other wildcats based upon its case. This caliber was originally developed for the semiautomatic Winchester Model 100 in 1963. The case is an extremely advanced design for when it was created. The case has a rebated rim, large case capacity, and a sharp 35 degree shoulder design.
