This video showcases a creative approach to using Excel for visually impactful presentations. The tutorial demonstrates how to conditionally format WordArt to display project completion percentages in a dynamic and visually appealing way. This technique involves manipulating WordArt and Excel features like clustered column charts and linked pictures, without any need for VBA scripting.

The process starts by setting up a WordArt text box linked to a cell displaying the project's completion percentage. A clustered column chart is then created, representing the percentage completed and the remaining portion. Adjustments are made to overlap the chart bars and to alter the appearance, ensuring the filled part of the bar reflects the completion percentage.

To seamlessly integrate this chart with the WordArt, the tutorial guides you through creating a linked picture of the chart and cropping and rotating it to fit within the WordArt. This results in an innovative presentation element where the percentage completion visually fills up the WordArt, dynamically changing with the project's progress.

The video emphasizes that no advanced programming skills are required, making this technique accessible for regular Excel users. This approach is suitable for enhancing project presentations, making them more engaging and informative. The tutorial concludes by highlighting the ease of grouping and manipulating these elements as a single object within Excel, linked directly to the data source for realtime updates.

This video covers two topics that lets you get creative with Excel:
1. How to have dynamic word art that is controlled with a formula
2. How to create bar in bar Excel charts
As a bonus we put them together to create an infochart that shows percentage completed of a specific task.
