The journey of Lyndis had not been easy, the Sacaen swordswoman facing numerous trials. Yet she made it to Lycia, the land of her mother's birth. She made her way to Araphen, one of the biggest cities in the land.
Almost as soon as she arrived, a battle engulfed the city. Lyn and her company faced no choice but to fight back against assassins that sought her life. They then had to liberate the castle, a task that was not easy thanks to the mechanisms keeping it locked up.

Lyn took it upon herself to activate one of the switches. She split off from her group and hurried down a street. But then a figure appeared in front of her with a flash of magic, suddenly manifesting from nowhere. Lyn was quick to raise her sword.
An enemy! She prepared herself to fight. A smile flashed below the hood of her foe, and they raised their hand. A purple circle of light appeared before their outstretched fingers. Magic was not something Lyn was very familiar with, but she knew trouble when she saw it.
Lyn moved to evade. But her feet were stuck somehow, her boots rooted to the ground. She glanced down in confusion, trying again to move. It was like her boots were frozen in place.
Wait! I must not take my eyes off the enemy! Lyn glanced back, glaring at her foe. Yet they looked somehow different, more distant but oddly larger. Not only that, but the whole world was moving before her eyes.
What kind of magic is this? Lyn wondered. She had to strike before things got worse. But the enemy was out of reach, and she was still unable to move her feet. Not only that, but her blade felt heavier somehow. Its strain on her hand was such that her wrist was no longer straight, her blade pointing slightly downward. It had fit her hand so well before, but now it was somehow too large.
"Wha... what's happening?!" Lyn gasped. Things only got worse for the swordswoman. The mage before her now seemed impossibly tall, and the burden of her blade was weighing down her arm. It was too heavy for her to hold onehanded, Lyn forced to grab it with her other hand. But just before she could her hand was forced to let go, her sword clanging down to the ground. The noise startled Lyn, causing her to flinch. She was now unarmed, but of greater concern to her was the world around her. She looked up in atonishment at her surroundings, now twice as large as before.
"This... this can't be!" she cried, "am I... am I somehow smaller?"
She realised the truth, but too late. She had been shrinking all along, dwindling to the point where her sword was far too heavy for her to hold. She didn't even notice that the spell freezing her feet had worn off, shifting around to look at the still enlarging world. By the time the magic faded and the purple light vanished, she had been shrunk to a puny size.

Lyn looked up, craning her neck to look at her foe, who had to be at least twenty times her size. She feared the now massive enemy, and what their plans might be for the shrunken swordswoman. But then defiance welled up in her. Though she had been shrunk down and disarmed, she would not go without a fight. She steeled herself as the enemy approached.
She was small, but fast. So when the enemy lunged for her, Lyn evaded. Their second attempt to grab her also failed. But then the mage feinted, causing her to dive into his waiting hand. Lyn fought to escape as he lifted her higher and higher, but to no avail. She was truly trapped. Staring up at her colossal captor, Lyn wondered what would become of her...
