One of the main themes for this year's Shuttleworth Collection Season Premiere was King Charles III's coronation, which took place the day before the show. This theme featured the display of De Havilland Chipmunk WP903, known as 'The Royal Chipmunk'. It was the aircraft of which the then Prince Charles learned to fly in! The little red light on top was a modification to warn others to keep their distance when the Prince was flying it.
Other notable highlights include the first public display in civilian hands for the Westland Lynx AH.7, three flypasts by the Avro Lancaster and the return to the air show circuit for the Fairy Swordfish.
