Sights and Sounds from Tampa International Airport with ATC and a very soggy start. (4K)

Evening and night time plane spotting at Tampa International Airport (KTPA).

An all too common summer afternoon / evening for Tampa International Airport during the summer thunderstorm season. Starting with a full ground stop and then eventually turning into a nice evening. The airport was in North flow when the video starts and under a ground stop. They changed to South flow to start accepting arrivals. That's why the Alaska Airlines plane was sloshing around end to end at the start. Most of the video is from 19 Right. Towards the end I went back and forth a couple times between 19 Left and 19 Right.

My scanner was acting weird all night, so the ATC in some of this isn't the best. It's a bit distracting in a couple places. Sorry!

Hope you enjoy it and thanks for stopping by!

Note: The camera that I'm using increases the brightness quite a bit during nighttime filming. It doesn't look like what you’re seeing in the video to the naked eye. I don't want to discourage anyone from nighttime spotting in person at TPA or other airports. It's a fun experience to hang out and watch the planes come and go after dark. At the same time, I don't want people to see the after dark video on this channel thinking it will look exactly the same in person and be disappointed.
