This saw is designed for cutting builders timber.
It has a tooth style which is very aggressive and will cut very fast. It has a hollow ground blade, which reduces friction when cutting. This also allows the cutting stroke to feel very easy and fast.

The teeth are set, they are what Silky call a 4 Retsume tooth style. This saw has four rows of teeth going through the timber with each stroke. This style of tooth also cuts a larger hole in the timber than the width of the blade, therefore reducing the chance of the blade jamming in the cut.

The blades are made out of a strong high quality steel. This steel is very strong, but is also quite flexible, which is very important in a hand saw.
