Simon looking astonishingly young on this early Variety TV Show called 'Starburst'. This was back in the day when budgets were not an issue on TV shows and fees were very fair (it all changed with X Factor and BGT, where apparently you have to sign exploitative contracts to rise in the voting system.) Anyway this performance features the tallest man in UK Steven Calcutt and the largest woman at the time Fran Fullenwider. This may be possibly the best ever performance of his Dancing Cane from that period. Simon still finishes his act with his Dancing Cane today. If you look carefully at the end you can just spot a red bar (low right) which apparently was a forklift used to make Simon rise in the air! Aww and we all thought it was real magic!
