A short video to introduce the "trim tab" windvane design I used on my sailboat. Although I built it flimsily, it worked surprisingly well even with very mild winds. The hinge design prevents the boat to overcompensate compared to the more traditional "trim tab" used by sailor Bernard Moitessier. Should I own a transomhung rudder sailboat in the future, I will most probably build the same design again (more robustly this time).
