SIMPLY STUNNING and SOUNDS AMAZING !!! DOUGLAS C47 Mk III DAKOTA (FZ 692) "Kwicherbichen"
It's so realistic...and that's because this is the real deal. The original FZ 692 was delivered to the RAF in February 1944, this aircraft served with 233 Squadron at RAF Blakehill Farm until September 1944 when it was transferred to 437 Squadron RCAF. Bearing the name "Kwicherbichin" the aircraft took part in para drops and later casualty evacuations. In later life the aircraft flew for Environment Canada where it was used for mineral and environmental surveys. The RAF Memorial Flight's C47 as seen here is painted in the colours that FZ 692 wore in 1944 and displayed at the LMA Cosford Show with 2 glorious passes over the flight line.
