Singapore Airlines Business Class Review

I have flown almost a couple of million miles on all different carriers but one that has been on my bucket list for a long time is Singapore Airlines which has been voted the best airline in the world many times including this year so come join me on this dream trip in Singapore’s Long Haul Fine dining I mean business class
Our starting point is the LAX International or Tom Bradley Terminal. After a quick security stop, you enter into a large modern terminal, head upstairs to the top level where star alliance Gold and business class travellers get to experience the LAX Star Alliance lounge which for 2023 has also been voted the worlds best Alliance lounge. Inside theres lots of different seating options including a balcony overlooking the concourse, dining area as well as a bar which has an extensive menu. I was really impressed with the number of items they carry. Along with a standard buffet there is a noodle bar where you can build your own bowl. Have a long stay and need fresh air, head out into the patio to enjoy some outdoor air with your food and drink. This is a lounge that I’d have no problem connecting through LAX for.

Once aboard you will be greeted with a smiling face, It was nice to see the the female attendants wearing the kebaya synonymous to the Singapore Airlines Singapore Girl branding.

Some wise advice for you, I’m not sure about the other classes but in business on SIN, Bring your best appetite because not only are you going to see some amazing dishes but the food is so plentiful, the most I’ve ever experienced on any airline. After the white linens are laid down as well as some nice elegant silverware, the appetizer is served which in this case was Marinated shrimps with a newer lemon aioli on top go a sale with fresh baby radishes and turnips. This was delish and big. On some of the other legs the appetizer is chicken satay with a peanut sauce. These are really good as well and for some that could be your whole meal plus they ask if you want more. There are different entree options for each meal service however whats unique to Singapore airlines is a program they call Book the Cook where you can go online and manage your meals and choose from a larger menu. You’ll get the most choices flying out of Singapore, I counted 42 different meal options available from SinNRT.

For this leg I wanted to stay a little lighter so no duck confit, no braised beef instead I went from the wonton noodles with BBQ. Oh yeah, it did not disappoint. This would not be the last bowl of noodles I had on these flights. Best thing is that the crew are always working seamlessly providing basically one on one service as they have to prep so many different meals at different times yet when it arrives its piping hot. I really don’t know how they manage it.

Now one reason why I chose this routing instead of a non stop is that when flying out of Tokyo, you get a Hanakoireki option with no less than 11 beautifully presented Japanese courses. Can yo believe this is on a plane. The menu is different flying out to Singapore or out to LAX. Here’s the kicker, after eating my way though this edible canvas, turns out that was just the warm up even though we started with the chicken satay again. My eyes almost popped out of my head when they presented another box of food.

Singapore Airlines…The number one airline in the world. It takes a lot more than just good food and lounges to not only capture the title but to maintain over the years is no easy feat in this ultra competitive industry. Why are they so good? From what I experienced its the culmination of not just the big things but lots of the small details that you might even notice right away until you fly back to back with another carrier where you say, ohhh. They did this or they didn’t do this. The crew operated with such great professionalism, it was like watching a choreographed sports play, seamless execution, like reading each others mind. There delivery of any message or direction was clear and concise yet seemed like you were on a personal level and most of the time before you could even ask for something, they were already suggesting. Champagne story Theres so much to experience that a single video really wouldn’t do it justice, Its really hard to describe as its something you kinda need to experience yourself and hopefully this at least give you a taste of what its like to fly business with Singapore. After close to 2 million miles of air travel, I still have many airlines to sample but I can honestly say without a doubt this trip has been the best business class that I have ever experienced and can say that their number one standing is well deserved.
