A 73yearold British man died of a suspected heart attack, and dozens were hospitalized after their flight from London to Singapore encountered turbulence, forcing an emergency landing in Bangkok.

Singapore Airlines has now adopted a more cautious approach to managing inflight turbulence. The airline announced that meal service will not be provided when the seat belt sign is on, and cabin crew will secure all loose items and advise passengers to remain seated with seat belts fastened during poor weather conditions.
