About the video:
I had never thought that Singapore Airlines would operate the A350 for a flight as short as Jakarta to Singapore, which is roughly only 1 hour and 45 minutes. We booked the ticket and time specifically to try out this brand new offering from Airbus.

One thing that's being discussed on recent Airbus aircraft is the loud flap motors. It is louder than any aircraft I've flown with, but I can't say that it's loud, it's just audible and frankly enough, I like it. We booked the seats right next to the wing, the flap motors are more audible than when seated at the back, which is awesome.

Power plants and takeoff:
As for the engines, RollsRoyce Trent XWB is the 6th generation of the Trent family, and the A350900 is powered exclusively by Trent XWB84. I haven't flown with the 787 yet so I can't compare the noise levels between the two aircraft, but the A350 is the quietest aircraft I've ever flown, and it's quieter than I initially expected. The noise level is much lower than the 777 with any type of engine, and during idle and taxi, it produces almost no sound at all. Vibration is also quite low, and power delivery is smooth. With such quietness, I couldn't believe that the engine can output 84,000 lbs of thrust.

About the comfort and service:
It's Singapore Airlines, of course you'd expect near excellence, and they certainly delivered. Economy class has generous legroom, and we're greeted with a brand new IFE with capacitive touch input and wide choices of entertainments. A bit sad that I can't find any camera though.

That's it for this video, hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!
