After assessing these two beautiful Singer 401A sewing machines, I found I could not get the motor out of one of the machines easily. Thanks to a kind commenter, he pointed out someone may have jammed in a motor from a Singer 700 series machine which may make it very difficult to remove so I decided to move on to the second machine.
It needs a good clean up and some of it's parts are suffering from light corrosion so I decide to make a good machine out of the two.
