Singlehanding Sea of Cortez - Wandersailing 24

Wandersailing

After cancelling the SouthPacific crossing, I decided to sail North before the hurricane season. I really enjoyed singlehanding the Sea of Cortez way more than I was expecting. On this episode, you'll get to see what sailing Mexico is all about and get to see some stunning drone footage of the turquoise waters. Give more feedback on the sails I made from a Sailrite kit and give you a recipe on wicked fish jerky.

FISH JERKY RECIPE:

What you'll need:

Plastic bag
Fresh fish (trigger, cabrilla, parrot, yellowtail or what is recommended to you)
Sesame oil
Natural sugar (can substitute for honey, agave, maple syrup, or other)
Soy sauce
Salt

1. Cut your fish into french fries (British chips) shape
2. Put your fish in a plastic bag with all the ingredient and let it marinate for 23 hours
3. Use a string and thread it thru the fish
4. Tie it up on deck and let it dry under the sun for half a day for a chewy texture, or a full day for a fish jerky texture (this will allow it to last longer, but it will be a bit harder to chew)
5. Enjoy!!

Here's a blog post about it: https://www.wandersailing.com/blog/20...
