History of Myanmar/Burma:

As the main Burmese army laid scattered and destroyed, the Qing Imperial Banner Armies took much of Northern Burma by storm. Still Konbaung Burma was forged through war and the Qing Armies had an old enemy waiting for them. The SinoBurmese War between the Qing Dynasty of China and the Konbaung Dynasty of Burma is one of the most crucial conflicts in the history of Southeast Asia. It was the clash of two formidable military powers in the region. Some historians even remarked that it was the war that saved the region from Chinese ambitions alongside the Vietnamese victory.
