The stroke of midnight at Skansen. Celebrate the New Year with us. Traditionally, SVT celebrates the New Year on the Solliden stage at Skansen. Skansen is the oldest openair museum and zoo in Sweden, located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. It was opened on 11 October 1891 by Artur Hazelius to show the way of life in the different parts of Sweden before the industrial era.

Nikki Amini and Micke Leijnegard invite you to a sparkling New Year's celebration at Skansen. Alfred Tennyson's "New Year's Bell" is read by Tomas von Brömssen. The music is composed by, among others, Sissel Kyrkjebø, Lasse Holm, Alba August, Kalle Moraeus, Gunilla Backman, Johan Boding and LaGaylia Frazier, accompanied by Johan Granström's orchestra.
