In today’s video, I share with you 6 waterfalls In the Bono East region of which some are popular and some, not so popular.

In no particular other, in a town called Akuropong are two waterfalls. Without having any specific names, I decided to name them, Akuropong Waterfall 1 and 2. Akuropong is a town within the Nkoranzah District in the Bono East Region of Ghana.

The first one. Akuropong waterfall 1 is about 10 meters high and flows all year round. The mystery about it is that it doesn’t flow downstream, however, flows onto a rock beneath it to which no one knows where the water goes after. It is about a 10minute drive distance from the Akuropong township.

The second one, Akuropong waterfall 2 is located a little deep in the forest where there are some farms, its height is about 2 meters and around it are some trees. This one flows downstream and serves as a source of water for nearby farms.

Next is the Dandwa Waterfall which is located in a town Called Dandwa also within the Nkoranza District in the Bono East Region. This waterfall is about 12 minute drive from the Dandwa township. Of a height of about 9 meters, It flows all year round unto rocks, which makes it impossible to swim. The only way to enjoy the falling water is to stand directly underneath it on rocks to take a bath.

Our next waterfall will be the Bono Manso Waterfall which is located in a town Called Bono Manso by the Main Kintampo to Techiman highway. Unlike other falls, this one is unique as it flows into a quiet big pool with rocks around it. The height is about 4 meters. Around the falls are seats for tourists to sit and relax. There are also activities that do take place almost every weekend.

The Fuller waterfall will be our next highlight. Also different from the others, it is a Cascade type of waterfall, with water flowing down multiple steps of rocks. It is located in a town called Yabraso which is about 7km west of Kintampo, It flows gently from the east over a series of cascades eventually joining the Black Volta.

Finally, we have the wellknown Kintampo Waterfall which is located 2.5 miles, north of the Kintampo Municipality. There is an upper fall that flows onto multiple rocks and then down to the main fall. The height of the main fall is about 25 meters high. Around it is a canopy walk as well as concrete steps for visitors to descend down from the top to have a close view of the fall.
