This is part 1 of my iceberg adventures! In this video my daughter and I hike the Skerwink Trail near Port Rexton, Newfoundland in June, 2024. It was one of the most stunning hikes of my life, and I could not recommend it higher.

The song in the background is an instrumental I wrote during the pandemic on my little Seagull Merlin dulcimer. It is unnamed at the moment, but might be called "St. John's Instrumental," because this was recorded there. It might make it on the album as a hidden track... stay posted!

The hike itself was 5.3 km, or just over 3 miles. I think we probably did close to 4 miles with all the adventuring and walking back and forth to make the video. There was a lot of up and downs, but it was easy enough for me and my 10 year old daughter. It is an all timer. We both kept saying over and over again how beautiful everything was. In the past it has won awards and recognition around the world. Let me put it this way... if it was a 1012 hour drive from Boston, I'd have to do it at least once each year... maybe twice!

We did the hike on the second day of our two week adventure in Newfoundland. I traveled up there to find icebergs because I'm a Boston based musician working on an album called, "The Iceberg." I launched a kickstarter in February, 2024 and raised over $20,000.00 to travel to Newfoundland and Greenland to make videos, and record music. I hope the album will be finished in early 2025.
