Skratch School

Skratch Bastid recreates RunDMC's classic "Peter Piper" using the Roland DJ808 controller during this demo/test video. The DJ808 features channels for 4 Serato decks as well as a dedicated channel for it's built in, syncable drum sequencer, featuring selectable sounds from the 909, 808, 707, and 606. To recreate this song, Bastid used the TR808, the Peter Piper acapella (left deck), and a file containing Bob James' "Take Me To The Mardi Gras" & a horn sample from John Davis Orchestra's "I Can't Stop" (courtesy of Ultimate Breaks & Beats) (right deck).

Many Skratch School subscribers ask for tutorials and videos on controllers, so here is another one. What other types of videos would you like to see? Subscribe here on Youtube and sign up at http://www.skratchschool.com
