Sky Force Reloaded Two-Player Playthrough (Switch) - Stages 1-9

This is part 1 of my capture of me and a friend playing through Sky Force Reloaded for the Nintendo Switch. This is a downloadable title from Infinite Dreams. I'm player one and Drew is player two. We're playing on insane difficulty.

Last year Infinite Dream released the original Sky Force game for the Wii U (titled "Sky Force Anniversary") and I posted a playthrough of the entire game on hard mode. Sky Force was incredibly addicting to the point that I kept playing the game for hours on end each day to purchase further upgrades for my ship. But even though I managed to beat the game (at least on hard mode), I was left wanting more.

It didn't take me long to find out that Infinite Dreams had already developed a sequel titled Sky Force Reloaded, and that the game was already available on tablets and whatnot. Since the developer had released the original game on the Wii U, I figured the sequel would eventually arrive on the Switch. Sure enough, I was right.

Sky Force Reloaded was released on the Switch back in February, but it took me nearly two months to fully upgrade my ship. It then took me a few more months to unlock all of the stages on higher difficulty levels, not to mention all of the different ships and permanent upgrade cards. I previously thought that the original Sky Force had a ton of upgrades, but the Reloaded put it to shame.

Sky Force Reloaded is definitely harder than the original game, but it's equally as fun. I especially like the new technicians and ships, but it unfortunately takes so long to unlock all of these things that it becomes tedious.

For this playthrough I decided to complete the game on the third difficulty level: insane. Although I used a variety of ships for this playthrough, my favorite is probably the Classic ship with the laserwhip upgrade (it does massive damage). Drew seems to favor the Octopus, which is also a really cool ship.

In this first part Drew and I completed Stages 1 through 9.

Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using detached JoyCons and Drew is using a Pro Controller.
