You may assume the hood vents on your SN95 1994 to 1998 Mustang are just for show. Certainly the super fake hood scoop on the 1999 to 2004 Mustangs is just for looks as questionable as a fake hood scoop is in the looks department.

However, the hood vents on the 1994 to 1998 Mustang are functional. They connect to vents on the underside of the hood blowing hot air to escape the engine compartment. A color engine compartment means better performance. These vents can even be made more functional with some slight easy mods. Check it out!
