Cornertocorner stitch pattern is fantastic for everyone, especially using halfdouble crochet. Perfect for beginners! This is the stitch I used for my very first large project and I come back to it again and again if I could do it, so can you!

Use C2C easily for any size triangle, square, or rectangle shaped project. Stay to the end and I show you the simple variation for C2C with double crochet stitch.

For the blanket shown here I used 2200 yards of a DK weight yarn, using 6 rounds of halfdouble crochet stitches for the border (put 3 HDC stitches in each corner stitch when you go round).

Blanket size: 50" x 55"
